Nobody is perfect including Roy Halladay. I think that we expect him to give the Phils a win every time. That’s just wishful thinking though. Everybody has an off day and Halladay had his last night.
His pitching was off and the Yankees took full advantage of it. Oh my! He sailed through the first inning but in the second, well, he just came unglued. It’s tough to see that . It’s tough to see him so disgusted.
The Phils offense got something going in the 4th inning producing 3 runs which brought the score to 5-3. but the Yankees countered that by producing runs in the 5th and 7th bringing the score to 8-3. That was that.
Phils lose 8-3
Here’s a quote from Ibanez taken from mlb.com:
“The way I look at it is we’re making progress, for sure,” Raul Ibanez said. “We’re swinging the bats a lot better collectively, and the way I look at it is that good things are going to start happening for us. Definitely, today was better than some of the other days we’ve had. Obviously, it’s not enough, but you get into stuff like this slow, and you get out of it slow. You hope that tomorrow’s the day.”
