Well, we swept the Brewers last night and the night highlighted for the Phils more defensive plays as opposed to offense but that’s the versatility of our team. Speaking of defensive plays, Valdez was the star last night. Too bad I hear he was sent back to the minors but he proved himself and proved himself well.
Hamels pitched well last night and held his own I thought. Hoover again proved himself a valuable asset to the game.
Then, there was Romero who got us out of the game. He handled the close well. Looked good!
We lucked out with the wild pitch from the Brewers pitcher which enabled us to score that insurance run that we needed.
So, looking back, what was up with all those Brewers homers? Eh, it wasn’t enough to defeat us.
Final score- 4-2 Phils win!
